About these terms

This website is run by The Last Breath Poet, the writing project of David Starczewski, based in Liverpool, United Kingdom. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Using this website

You are welcome to read, share and quote from this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not use the site in any way that is unlawful, that damages it, or that interferes with anyone else's use of it.

The poetry and other content

All poems, written reflections, photographs and design on this website are the intellectual property of The Last Breath Poet unless stated otherwise, and are protected by copyright.

You may:

  • read and share links to this website freely;
  • quote a short extract of a poem, provided you credit The Last Breath Poet and link back to the source.

You may not:

  • reproduce a poem in full, in print or online, without written permission;
  • use any content on this site for commercial purposes, including training commercial AI systems, without written permission;
  • alter a poem or present it as your own work.

If you would like to use a poem for a reading, a publication, a service or any other purpose, please write to starczewski@gmail.com. Permission is usually given gladly when asked for.

A note on the subject matter

Much of the writing on this site was made during illness and cancer treatment. It is personal writing, not medical, psychological or legal advice, and it should not be relied on as such. If you are unwell or struggling, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional.

Buying the book

  • Prices are shown on the book page and are in pounds sterling.
  • Payment is taken securely by Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment has been completed.
  • Orders are typically dispatched within three to five business days. Delivery times vary by location.
  • If a book arrives damaged or an order goes wrong, email starczewski@gmail.com and we will put it right.
  • Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations you may cancel an order within 14 days of receiving it and return the book for a refund, provided it is in resalable condition. Return postage is your responsibility unless the item was faulty.

If you subscribe, you will receive new poems, reflections and occasional announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Links to other websites

This site links to other websites, including ticketing, fundraising and payment services. We are not responsible for the content of those sites or for their terms and privacy practices.

Availability

We aim to keep the website available, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under UK law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website.
