Today

Today
I will bless every bird I see.
I will honour every breath I take.
Today
I give thanks
for each blade of grass,
for every snail
that pauses at my window
as if it came on purpose.
Today
I am grateful
for your gentle touch,
for your smile
that quietly lights the day.
For your laughter
and for that look you give me
when I say something silly.
Today
I choose gratitude
for every single thing
that reaches me,
because somehow
each of them has become essential.
And in this moment,
nothing else
matters.
